E-Government Development Index (EGDI) is based on the United Nations E-Government Survey. It compares the e-government effectiveness in the delivery of public services for all UN Member States and serves as a tool for countries to learn from each other. 

Methodology: The EGDI is a weighted average of normalizd scores of the three movest important dimensions of e-government: 

  • Adequacy of telecommunications infrastructure, indicated by the Telecommunication Infrastructure Index (TII)
  • Ability of human resources to promote and use ICTs, indicated by the Human Capital Index (HCI)
  • Availability of online services and content, indicated by the Online Service Index (OSI)
