The EU Blue Card

The EU Blue Card was introduced in 2009 as a part of the European Council Directive to focus on selective migration policy.

Definition: The EU Blue Card is an EU-wide work permit for highly qualified employment, aimed at making Europe a desirebal destination for qualified workers from third countries. The EU Blue Card is recognised and impemented by 25 EU member states, apart from Denmark, Ireland, and the United Kingdom.
