Minimum Wage Exemptions
Definition: Exemptions of the statutory minimum wage for the Eurozone Member States in 2018.
A minimum wage is the lowest remuneration that employers can legally pay their workers. Equivalently, it is the price floor below which workers may not sell their laboor. In 2018, 22 EU Member States had minimum wages in place. Often exemptions regarding age, work-experiece or sectors apply.
